Kennedy’s history

Kennedy became an incorporated village on November 5, 1907. It lies in the Rural Municipality of Wawken No. 93, just south of Highway 48 and about three kilometres west of Highway 9.

Today the village is best known for the Moose Mountain Pro Rodeo, held every year on the third weekend in July. Kennedy has a post office, a bar and restaurant, and a school for kindergarten through Grade 8. There are two parks, one on the school grounds and one by the campgrounds.
